Google Picasa Review – Free Software to Organize Your Photos

google picasa review photo organization software

Sometimes the best things in life are free.  Google’s Picasa is amazing free software to organize your photos.  You will wonder how Google can provide so much for free.

Picasa is one of the first programs that you will want to load on any new computer.  It has simple editing features to crop, brighten, add text, fix red eye, retouch, create collages and enhance your digital camera photos.  Picasa is not in the same league for photo enhancement as Photoshop CS4 but 90% of the time . . . simple and quick adjustments are all you need so why pull out the big guns?

With digital cameras, we tend to snap thousands of photos.  Looking at thumbnails spread out in hundreds of folders is cumbersome.  Having a simple tool to organize will help you find your favorite photos.  You can quickly mark favorites and put them in albums for easy viewing.

You can even make movie slide shows with of your pictures.  Add text, pan and zoom and play your slides to music.

Save your albums to the web to share photos with friends and family.  Nothing could be easier and all for free.
